The φ8221 large gear is a custom heavy steel casting made of ZG45CrMo material, designed and produced by 瀚海冶金 for Metso. The gear blank weighs nearly 80 tons and requires UT and MT first-class flaw detection.

PROJECT OVERVIEW — Process Simulation and Precision Casting
After the contract was signed, the technical department of Hanhai Metallurgy conducted repeated digital simulations of the casting process.
