Working Principle

The HSC Single Cylinder Hydraulic Cone Crusher operates on a highly efficient eccentric gyration principle. Driven by the motor, the eccentric sleeve rotates, forcing the main shaft and the mantle to gyrate continuously within the crushing chamber.

As the mantle gyrates towards the stationary concave (bowl liner), the material is subjected to powerful compression, bending, and interparticle crushing. When the mantle moves away, the crushed material falls and is discharged from the bottom, ensuring continuous high-capacity production.

The advanced single hydraulic cylinder located at the base dynamically supports the main shaft. This allows for precise, real-time Closed Side Setting (CSS) adjustments and provides automatic “tramp iron” overload protection, safely clearing uncrushable materials without manual intervention.

  • 1. Material Feeding: Raw material continuously enters the upper crushing chamber from the top feed hopper.

  • 2. Eccentric Gyration: The rotating eccentric sleeve drives the main shaft, causing the mantle to close and open the gap against the concave.

  • 3. Laminated Crushing : Material is progressively fractured through powerful direct compression and interparticle rock-on-rock crushing.

  • 4. Intelligent CSS Control : The bottom hydraulic cylinder adjusts the main shaft’s height to precisely define the final discharge size.

  • 5. Automatic Overload Protection : Uncrushable objects trigger the hydraulic system to lower the shaft, safely clearing the chamber and instantly resuming operation.

Frequently Asked Engineering Questions

What Types of Rock is the HSC Series Designed For?

The HSC Cone Crusher excels at processing medium-hard to exceptionally hard and highly abrasive materials. This includes granite, basalt, diabase, river stone, as well as metallic ores like iron, copper, and gold.

Can the Discharge Size (CSS) Be Adjusted Under Load?

Yes. Unlike traditional spring cone crushers, the HSC series utilizes a bottom single-cylinder hydraulic setup. This allows operators to dynamically adjust the Closed Side Setting (CSS) in real-time while the crusher is operating, ensuring consistent product size without downtime.

How Frequently Do the Wear Liners Need Replacing?

Wear liner lifespan heavily depends on the feed material's abrasiveness and operational hours. However, our optimized crushing cavity and high-manganese steel alloys ensure uniform wear, extending the replacement cycle significantly compared to standard industry equivalents.
